Changing Lives, Changing Communities.

Our Mission

The Marcell Anderson Foundation facilitates partnerships with community and commercial sectors like local businesses, churches and benefactors in order to suμμort the homeless and working poor. Assistance is provided. through public awareness, organized events, and the dedication from outstanding citizens who donate their time. By continuing to nurture these important partnerships we are able to successfully carry out our projects that promote education, eliminate hunger, and establish housing oμtions for the homeless and working μoor.

Our History

Our concept was founded in 2010 distributing boxed food and canned goods out of a garage. We were established as a 501(c)(3) in 2014 expanding our concept to sustainable foods and partnering with local growers and farmers. This expansion provided more balanced and healthy options to our charity recipients through the distribution of fresh vegetables, produce and dairy products to families and individuals in need. In 2016, we made further expansion of our mission to include educational based projects as well as home ownership programs.

In the beginning we served 10 families with personal donations during the Thanksgiving holiday. This idea came about after many yeas of volunteering with other organizations, specifically focused on holiday food drives. In many cases, it was necessary and beneficial to deliver goods directly to those in need. With those 10 families we provided a modest package of a fresh turkey, canned veggies, rice, and a number of other prepackaged option sides dishes.

In 2012 we had a goal to feed 75 families requiring the donations of others and a larger space to organize the volunteers and package, distribute the goods. We progressed from 25 volunteers to a two day operation.
