Every woman needs a handbag

Every woman needs a handbag. For some it is a fashion statement, but for others it has proven to be a necessity. "Handbags with a Purpose" was established in response to the needs of women encountered during periodic outreach activities. Volunteers prepares handbags complete with deodorant, soap, tissue, Q-tips, mouthwash, toothpaste/brush, hand-wipes. hand sanitizer. sanitary napkins. cough drops, pad/pen, and snacks. Handbags are often distributed in May in conjunction with Mother's Day and during the holidays to provide these women with a little dignity even while being unsheltered and living on the street.
