The Marcell Anderson Foundation strives to continuously expand our programs and offerings to the community. Thus, we are excited to embark on our 9th Annual MAF Food Drive,providing holiday meals to the working and unemployed poor.
Last year, we successfully supplied meals to 300 families, which resulted in approximately 1,800 people being able to enjoy a hearty holiday meal. It is our objective to make this year an even greater success! However, this goal depends largely on the charitable support of donors who generously contribute to The Marcell Anderson Foundation food drive initiative.
According to Feeding America (1), in Georgia 1,501,680 people are struggling with hunger and of them, 503,370 are children. That’s 1 in 5 children and 1 in 7 adults who wrestle with the burden of hunger daily. Therefore, our mission to provide fresh, healthy meals to the community is not limited to the holiday season, but is an ongoing effort throughout the year. Every two weeks, we continue to feed homeless men, women, and children.

Having food to eat is a basic human right and necessity. No one in America should be without food, and certainly not in our local communities. Your generosity will make a difference in the lives of those who live among us, by enabling The Marcell Anderson Foundation to continue in our charitable work.
This year our goal is to meet or exceed providing 350 families with holiday meal boxes. We can accomplish this only with your contributions. With your donations, our volunteers work tirelessly to provide each family with a turkey, fresh vegetables, and other holiday sides. Each meal box is assembled with caring hearts and packed by loving hands.
